Hello everyone,
It’s a great time of year now, it’s time for the Student Union elections!
This coming Tuesday May 5, 2009, marks the start of the voting process on every student’s MyUOS portal. In the reign of change, Vision Club would like to recommend the following amazing student, to lead the Student Union to a better place.
Sultan is an Emirati student from the Engineering College, majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has a vision for change, that starts out from the engineering college and aims to spread this vision to all colleges.
He plans some great ideas for the Engineering College as a whole, and would love it to have your votes this May 5!
Vision Club sees a better future for the students with Sultan Al Tunaiji in the picture. That’s why we are encouraging and gathering students to vote for him. We see it differently, and we simply like Sultan’s great Ideas
So on Tuesday, May 5, go ahead and vote for a better representation of the students, Vote Sultan.

Hello everyone,
I’m sorry to announce that the Palestinian Night previously mentioned in our plan for Spring 2009 and to feature the poet and artist, Tamim Al-Bargouthi and Monther Jawabreh respectively, is cancelled.
The event which is a fundraiser for the Palestine Children Relief Fund, was planned to happen on Saturday March 28 2009, but due to some circumstances out of our will, we had to cancel the whole event.
I’d like to take this chance to thank both Mr. Al-Barghothi and Mr. Jawabreh for their much appreciated co-operation, contribution, and for their valuable time they’ve given us. The thanks also goes to the PCRF as a whole and Ms. Doha Alwazany for the great help she offered the organizing team of this event.
Although the event couldn’t be done, we have achieved some great milestones. One being able to gather 6 sponsors and 7 agreements with various institutes and malls for selling points of the tickets.
And the second, which is a very important aspect of this event, was the ability to work with our friends in the Jordanian Cultural Club as partners in the making of this event.
As much as we wanted this event to happen, and however large the cause is, and however sad the news of not doing this event, this shall not stop us from hoping for the best and actually do an event to support Palestine in the near future.
Finally, I’d like to thank all those great members of the organising team, and best of luck in our next events.
Yours,
Majd Elmashharawi
Founder and president of Vision Club.
